What? Rain/snow showers and a low of 25? THIS IS APRIL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. Sorry for yelling. I just want to be working in my garden, mowing the lawn and I'm tired of starting fires. Although... we had some great weather for Spring Break-and we weren't sick! Here are some of the things we did.We went to the library. The kids love the library. In fact, Britt told me last week he was going to run away. "Oh," I said. "Where are you going?" "To the library." he stated. "Then what?" I queried? "I'll get some books." "...and then?" "I'll come home." That's O.K. then.

Abby and her guy Mike came to visit. The kids loved it, and we felt mighty special that they came down to see us! Thanks guys!

We looked forward to a Friday night root beer float fest. Britton was anxious to help bring supplies in and staggered into the house with the ice cream. I think this falls under the physics "Law of Motivation" where dirty socks far outweigh a bucket of ice cream or a wheel barrow of dirt.

The boys cooked some breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Here, Ry is proudly showing off his giant sized cookie pizza. The cookie part was good, but all of us except Ry thought the rest was disgusting. Too sweet. Caden is making a yummy Asparagus, red pepper and chicken pasta Primavera.

Oh, yes. Some clear nights gave us a chance to go out and observe the International Space Station. You too can see the Station as it zooms around the earth in an amazing 2 hours by checking the times in your area at this link. http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/sightings/ We also saw the Jules Vern the night it docked with the International Space Station. The Jules Vern carries about 7,300 pounds of equipment, supplies, water, fuel and gases. It will be filled with garbage and de-orbited for destruction upon re-entry over the pacific. Brian often gets us out of bed for all sorts of Astronomy lessons, and one of the coolest are the meteor showers we have in August. We seen some neat things. I should probably add that they won't look like the photos here, but rather large orbs of lights moving quickly across the sky.

and did some spring cleaning.
We visited a favorite park where we intended to feed the the huge fish in the pond... unfortunately the fish were all gone! The kids had fun anyway and enjoyed the water.

We started on the P.J.'s that we've had sitting around since Christmas... It's still cold enough to want to wear flannel jammies.

We picnicked outside,

Wow! Looks like you had as much fun if not more than us doing things at home over Spring Break! So glad you had great weather for it - we're wondering where that nice weather is. Oh, and we think that's a really cool park you went to - where can we find it? Thanks for stopping by our blog! I tried emailing you a while back, but I must have an old address. So email me sometime with your current one - please???? Loved catching up!
