Arizona Joke

This is for all you Arizona people, yes, the ones we saw dashing madly about on a warm day on account of a few sprinkles. In the Pacific Northwest we have more than a few words for precipitation. CBC sunshine, spate, cat-and-dog weather, sprinkle, condensation, torrent, cloud juice, rainfall, precip., volley, cloudburst, showers, torrent, drizzle, window washer, deluge, sheets, flood, precipitation, spit, flurry, fall, hail, heavy dew, liquid sunshine, sprinkling, stream, sun shower, wet stuff, drencher, mist, pour, rainstorm, sky juice, ... you get the idea. Brian and I left for a run, Caden was on his bike, and the mist gradually became "real" rain... Soaking wet I asked Brian.. "Do you know what they call this in Arizona?" He didn't answer, (much as I suspected, considering he was trying to keep his tongue from dragging.) "It's called swimming!"

My tongue wasn't dragging...I was just thirsty!

Love the family pic - surrounded by those wonderful signs of spring!! Cute kids ya have! Can totally relate to that AZ joke - ha! Trying to talk Keith into joining you for the bike ride. He's always moaning about how much he misses biking. Of course, it'd help me if I'd volunteer myself. Wonder if I could train that quickly...

Hi,
I love the family picture. I set it as my background on the computer. The kids are really growing. I love your cute, newsy blog. I need to get busy and work on mine. Mom

Ah yes, we Arizonans have a certain commeraderie related to the wet stuff, or lack thereof! Personally, I'm SO ready for our typical Northwest spring weather to give way to real sun! Good for you for riding for the cure!
