Coldest June in more than a century
By MIKE BARBER P-I REPORTER
With less than two weeks to go until the summer solstice, snowplows were busy on Snoqualmie Pass in one of the coldest Junes ever. At least 7 inches of snow fell in the pass overnight Tuesday, as June saw the coldest first week ever, since records began in 1891, the National Weather Service in Seattle said.Computer models indicate more of the same for at least the next two weeks. "I think that if I was a betting person I'd bet on cooler and wetter than normal conditions between now and at least the end of the month," Albrecht said.Snow levels in the Cascades have fallen to 2,500 feet. Daytime temperatures are at least 10 degrees below normal. "We should be close to 70 degrees (as a high) by now and we are getting into the mid 50s," he said. Nighttime lows are in the 40s, "a smidge below" where they usually are, he said. The persistent pattern of cold, upper level pressure systems coming down from the Bering Sea and Alaska responsible for our chillier temperatures eventually contributes to storms and flooding in the Midwest and heat in the southeast, Albrecht said.In some ways, Albrecht said, current weather patterns remind him of 1993, which locally some people recall as the "year without a summer," the grey drizzle broken by only a few warm spells, while the Midwest saw big floods and severe weather.

If I could figure out a way to mail you some sun and trade you for rain you know I totally would!
Although it is warmer here, we also have cooler tempatures than normal.
Unfortunately, I remember that summer; we had lived in Menlo for 3 years and I thought I would die from moisture..most likely, you will have a beautiful and LONG Indian Summer..
