Long Beach

The residents of Washington can breathe a sigh of relief. Warmer weather is here, and my scarf is done. A coincidence? I think not!

We've been busy so far this summer and summer is speeding by at an alarming rate. The boys are practicing piano, they are all signed up for the reading program at the library, friends have been over, the boys have spent some time helping do chores at the dairy farm, and we are getting a little more organized.

Last week we went down to Long Beach to help Brian present Vermi-composting to a summer program. Somehow this ended up being my presentation while Brian watched the kids. Have I never blogged about my worms? Ahh, but that is an entire blog in itself. After the "Going Green" program with the kids, we headed
out to the beach. It was a
lovely day! The dry sand on the dunes was really hot and we all layed on it and soaked up the warmth.
Look how they have grown!
You may be wondering if the water was warm, or even warmish. No, the water is never very warm. However, after your legs go numb it doesn't matter.

I managed to get photos of the boys on the dunes. It was such a perfect photo spot. Rheanna wouldn't sit still for a second so her shots didn't turn out at all.

Rheanna loves the beach and the water. This particular beach has terrible undertows so swimming isn't allowed. I kept a very close eye on her.
Anyone that knows anything about Yoga knows it is almost solely practiced on a beach. Preferably a warm beach with white sand. One must work with what one has.
Everyone agreed it was a most pleasant day.
'til next post.

I imagine the warm weather is welcomed. Look like all are having fun. I wish I was that limber. If I did that I would break in two. MOM
