A couple of nights ago, yes, you read right, I'm finally catching up... of coarse I haven't blogged a few minor things like the Dickey's science hike to see why the buzzards were gathering... oh, I can skip that one? Where was I? Oh, yes. The Band Concert. I'm excited to FINALLY be going to these. I'm really happy this kids love music, and I'm pretty sure Ryland is hooked. He loves to hear the older kids play. This year is the first year that kids will play in the band, like it or not, and we recently received a grant to buy instruments. Starting in fourth grade the kids will play recorders, and then fifth and sixth graders will play instruments. The 5Th grade band played, then 6Th, Junior High band, High School Choir, High School Band, then the Jazz/Pep band. I know you grandma's would have been there if you could, so I posted a video... 5Th grad band playing "Hard Rock Blues". Ry is in the front right wearing a red sweater. Oh, and he plays the clarinet.

Wait to go Ryland! I wish I could have been there. I loved it when I went to your Mon's band concerts.
