Sun, Sun, glorious sun!! When the sun shines here we don't come inside, which explains why I haven't posted. Caden, Britt, Rheanna and I headed up to the big city for Caden's Endo apt. - he's doing great. Britt and Rheanna stayed with Becky and Chuck while we went to the dr. The kids had lots of fun and made the Valentine "tree" with hearts to write something special about someone on. Britt asked to write "I love the purple breakfast Mommy makes me". This has cast doubt on his genius status because I have never prepared a purple breakfast. On Valentine's Day the kids and I made a special dinner for their Dad, Lasagna, heart shaped french rolls,
asparagus, chocolate cake and we dined by candle light. Rheanna's teacher sent home a Valentine project for our family to decorate a heart telling why Rheanna is special.
We had fun with this project attaching a photo cutout of Rheanna's head to the princess body from some fabric I had, then we all added our "why she is special" comments. We have spent every second we can outside soaking up the rays. We went to the park, picked up tons of "storm" refuse and burned it, cut up some of our lost tree's, stacked wood, washed and vacuumed cars, read books outside, weeded, and swept. It always feels so good to break free from the house and work outside! Everyone else had the same idea, and everyone is still cleaning up storm damage and trees the the air was really thick with smoke.

The one bad thing that happened was Caden's cat (Batman, Ratman, Fatman, or Catman depending on who was calling him) died. Caden was absolutly distraught so I let him stay home from school. We were glad for the sun because grave digging in the rain would have been terrible. We are not sure what illness robbed poor bat/rat/fat/cat-man of his life. 'til next post.
